The pool is available for rental from June to September only.

POOL RULES

Pool Rules are posted in clear site to insure that the public and employees are aware of them.
1. Obey instructions of lifeguards.
2. Only patrons wearing appropriate swim wear will be permitted in the pool (String, thong bikinis, or any types of cut offs are prohibited).
3. Conduct in pool are must not jeopardize the safety of self or others.
*No Running, pushing, wrestling, dunking, riding on shoulders, or other rough play.
*No splash dives (cannon balls, seat drops, flips back dives) from side of pool.
*No diving at any time!
4. Abusive or foul language will not be tolerated.
5. No food, drinks, gum or smoking are allowed in or around pool (food is only permitted in the bench seating areas).
6. No alcohol or narcotic influence allowed in or around pool.
7. No rafts or floatation devices will be allowed in the pool. Any exceptions will be made at the discretion of the pool supervisor.
8. All patrons must shower before entering the pool.
9. No lying, walking, placing feet or sitting in the gutter.
10. No one may interfere with emergency procedures, accidents or drill exercise.
*Safety lines are to be used only in an emergency. NO PLAYING ON, OR HANGING ON LINES.
*Patrons are to stay off the lifeguard chairs and leave emergency equipment alone.
11. NO PERSON SHALL BE PERMITTED TO SWIM IN THE POOL OR BE IN THE POOL WHEN THERE ARE NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY.
12. Children still wearing diapers will need to use a "Little Swimmer" diaper in order to enter the pool, it can be purchased at $1.00.
13. Pool supervisor has full authority to enforce all rules and close pool during inclement weather.
14. Persons with communicable disease or skin, eye, ear or nasal infections should not enter the pool.
15. All signs pertaining the rules and regulations are to be STRICTLY ENFORCED, i.e.: LIFEGUARDS ONLY, NO RUNNING, POOL PERSONNEL ONLY, ETC.

The permitee and all individuals, and group, club, organization or association occupying or using the facility, or any portion thereof to the permit, as an express condition of such occupation or use, shall hold harmless and indemnity the City of Somerton and all City employees and officials against all damages to the facility, including but not limited the death or any injury of any person whomsoever arising out of or resulting in any way from such occupation or use. When, in the sole opinion of the Parks and Recreation Director, an activity, event or function may place the City or any other party at a substantial risk for damage, injury or death, the permitee may be required to furnish the City of Somerton a certificate of liability insurance naming the city as an additional
insured for coverage of the type and in the amount determined by the Director in his/her sole discretion.
